Friendly staff and helpful in my area of hotel, charged to leave luggage for couple of hours after been refused to hold them but a friendly man staff member sorted it for us as we had a toddler, not to keen on location, a lot of men hanging around the area, bathroom was absolutely filthy dirty toilet seat all broken hole in bathroom door and wood, filthy tiles, bad lighting, tiny mirror, bathroom was absolutely shocking to say the least. Lifts took forever to come down or up so when you took stairs it was hard work with a toddler.

It is a great location to stay if you are looking to stay just outside Paris, with an easy access route into the city. M9 subway is a major line into many parts of the city.
Montreuil is perfect if you like to stay in a multi-cultural environment. It has lots of stores and restaurants/cafés of all flavors.

Extremely bad and life threatening experience!!!
Extremely bad and life threatening experience!!!
I have boked 2 rooms in Ibis Budget Montreuil Paris from 22nd July till 25th of July.
On the mid nigh of 25th July about 2 AM early in the morning, suddenly we heard the emergency alarm, when came out of the room, we saw that the hot air pipe was blasted and hot water is spreaded on the 2nd floor where we were staying, all people living on 2nd floor started running towards ground floor in the midle of the night, fortunately everyone was rescued and no injury happened. it was the night mare for us, and with the god grace we saved our lives.
Also when we checked in, i found that the air conditioning in one of the room was
not working, however i booked room with airconditioning facility, i reported this issue to reception person, he noted my complaint, but no action was taken on this.

What do I like most about the place?
What do I like most about the place?
- The moment I walked out of it.
The photos posted on booking.com are not what you get at all. According to me, the photos are taken in such a way that you only see the beauti. They may have one nice room that they advertise, that's not what you get when you walk in there tired. Our room rotted of smok, was advertised as a non smoking area. I also get the impression that they are abusing the foreigners' insufficient knowledge of the environment and the place itself.
I can promise you that what we booked and served on photos is not what we got. As a result of our negative experience, insecurity and far from public transport, we immediately looked for another place to stay. We tried to contact the landlord again on more than one occasion without any success.
Before our arrival he promptly responded to our questions. I wouldn't even recommend the place to my biggest predator.

I visit Montreuil 3-4 times a year and its a very nice city. Close to Paris but has its own unique heritage and culture. Like the local bars and the locals. If youre just visiting Paris as a tourist is well worth a visit and also a good place to stay - just because its fairly cheap and cheerful with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Wtih the metro youre in the center of Paris in no time. Be sure to go to La Station on Boulevard Rouget de Lisle.

There's not much to do in Montreuil I think (?), but I guess most people just stay there to visit Paris anyway. The only 2 places I visited there (near the subway station) was the supermarket (Monoprix) and a Thai restaurant (Royal Bangkok, very good).
One of the most benefits you get at this place is the kindness and professionalism of the receptionist! He made us amazing coffee and even went to get us croissants in the morning ❤️
The location is amazing, close to the metro line 9, which takes you to the inner city in less than 20 minutes!
The room was sparkling clean and they changed the bedsheets and towels daily!
For the price/value balance is just incomparable with anything else in Paris!
Definitely going to recommend it to anyone visiting Paris ❤️
Montreuil is a lovely suburb of Paris. There were excellent bars and places to eat within a comfortable walking distance from the hotel. Initially, I was very concerned about the location of the hotel. However, these were allayed quickly the next morning. The metro was a comfortable walk-in and easy to navigate. Very affordable using single journey tickets (€2.1 per journey, no matter how far). The room was dated. However, it was excellent value for money. The air con worked, thank goodness!!
Super nice hosts who own the Asian restaurant at the ground floor. You have to collect the keys in the restaurant. The best mattress that I have ever had in a hotel, and that to me, excuses any other small imperfection. Great food in the restaurant. Equipped with a large lift., The room had a large non convertible setty and was equipped with a courtesy tray. Good wifi.
The apartment was very clean and cosy. The location was also very good. Just a five minute walk to metrostation 'Mairie de Montreuil' and various shops and restaurants. With the metro it takes about 30 minutes to reach downtown Paris. The host is friendly, helpful and can easily be contacted through whatsapp.
Location is quite and accessible to the city very easily by train right next to the hotel.
There is a main street with many bakeries and I had everything I needed in the place.
The stuff is super nice and friendly and made me feel very comfortable from first moment
Rooms are very clean and in a safe neighborhood. Metro station is just 2 minutes away on foot and connects to the Paris city centre in 20 minutes. Easy to reach anywhere by Metro.
Staff was helpful and the room was cleaned every single day during my stay.
Location: it was quite close to the Montreuil underground station, which made usto get into the city centre quite straight forward. It was also clean and has all kitchen tools needed. The shower had a full waterjet.
Very comfortable, clean, out of Paris but the metro it's 3 min. walking and the area it's young, with lots of bars, restaurants, shops. Very good for money.
